Originally commissioned by Count von Scherin for his fiancée, Margarethe von Heinitz in 1914, the spirit of a bygone age radiates from the very walls.
Completed in 1996 in the style of the old castle, the hotel comprises of sixteen spacious and generously appointed en suite rooms, each with its own superb view. All rooms are en suite with air-condition, television, telephone, mini bars. Your host, Beate Raith, has paid personal attention to the elegant design of each room, from the four poster beds and Italian ceramic floor tiles, to the custom fittings and specially created, hand made wood furnishings. A full continental breakfast is served in your choice of settings. Outdoors, in the garden café overlooking the city and the Khomas Hochland. Indoors, in the richly finished Aschenborn Room located in the old Castle. Ascend the wooden staircase into a world of enchantment and spend a wedding night you’ll remember for the rest of your life in the Honeymoon Castle Tower. The spirit of a bygone age radiates from the very walls of this richly appointed and intimate bed chamber perched high above the city. Enjoy a glass of sherry or the winter-favourite, Gluhwein, served by the fire place in the Ritterraum - Room of the Knights. You would almost expect the countess herself to emerge from the adjoining dining room as you lounge amidst wood-panelled elegance. Both these rooms are fitted with the works of regionally famous artists, Dieter Aschenborn and Adolf Jentsch.
