World Travel Fair
During the fourth edition of World Travel Fair (WTF), held from March 22nd till March 25th, 2007 in the Shanghai Exhibition Center, travel officials from across the globe and high-income consumers from the Greater Shanghai Region visited the over 450 exhibitors attending from 51 countries and regions. The exhibition area of 10,000 square meters displayed top destinations, products and services of the tourism industry and attracted over 28,6001 visitors, among them 4,080 trade visitors.
In addition to impressive pavilions displaying tourism products and destinations, the major highlights of WTF were the hosted buyer program with 150 hosted buyers mainly representing outbound travel agencies from Shanghai, Beijing and Guangzhou regions and the Outbound Tourism Forum (OTF). OTF, which was held on the first day of the show, discussed the future trend of the China outbound tourism, the market evaluation, analysis and forecast. Speakers at OTF included PATA, UNWTO and AC Nielsen.
